Since February, Indonesian Adsense Publisher is now able to claim their pay check easier, faster, and cheaper since the option of using Western Union Quick Cash is now available. No more waiting for checks to arrive in the mail or to clear at the bank. Just simply bring:

your ID card
MTCN number and Google address (this is the payment number, you can check it at your payment history details)
and pay for the stamp (6000 rupiah)

Payment never been this instant and cheap. Usually if you're doing it the hard way using checks you end up waiting a month for the checks arrive and another month to cash in with quite expensive fee as well. using Western Union you even can collect it at any bank that provide Western Union service, like BRI, Mandiri, etc. without being their customer.

Though there are some minor set backs to this kind of payments:

You accept the money in rupiah.
You get cuts from the currency conversion and end up with a "weaker" currency. You know the score between US$ and Rupiah.
This is just my thought since this is my first time using Western Union, but I think that Western Union use the rate at the time Google sent the payment (you can check the date at the payment history). This made me got a cheaper rate on the day I cash in. So it's better to cash it sooner.
We don't get the payment notification. This isSo you have to check it yourself is the payment already sent. It should be around the 24th. Mine is.
Payments by Western Union are currently only available to individual payee names, but not to businesses.
Payments must be picked up within 60 days of issue or they'll expire. If this happens, a payment hold will be placed on your AdSense account and the payment will be credited back to your account.
There are payment limit for each country, so Adsense will divide up the amounts but still send them via Western Union.For instance, if the payout limit in your country is $3,000 USD and your payment for the month is $5,000 USD, we'll send you two payments: one for the limit of $3,000 USD and another for the remainder of $2,000 USD. If you're sent multiple Western Union payments, you'll see multiple 'Payment issued' lines on your Payment history page, each with the corresponding MTCN associated with it.

Overall I'm pleased since I get the money instanst and cheap. Not to mention I can skip my routine visit to Citibank. I can cash in at a much closer bank. Though I'm hoping that I can get the money in US$ too. Long live Google Adsense!
